John “The Engineer” Turmel has penned some very unique, re-educational documents of the modern economic world, but few people are yet aware of their impact and their power and potential to become the catalysts that will usher in the new age of usuryfree living.
In summary, John recommends that debtors STOP paying “interest” - which ought to be correctly called “usury” - to bankers. Yet, as we progress into this 21st Century, too many individuals, families, small-to-medium sized businesses, giant corporations and all levels of government (municipal, provincial/state, federal) are forever debtors, immersed in mountains of continuously growing debt while continuing to pay “usury” to the global banking empire.
As we make plans to celebrate the forthcoming “Fifth Annual UsuryFree Week” - November 13th to 19th, 2009 - and give special honour to noteable, usuryfree creatives, it is right and proper to reflect on the ongoing, self-imposed, life mission of John “The Engineer” Turmel.
Without question, pride of economic acumen must be bestowed on John “The Engineer” Turmel as author of these two revealing documents: (a) The Big Lie: http://www.cyberclass.net/turmel/biglie.htm and
(b) Bank Math: http://www.cyberclass.net/turmel/bankmath.htm
It was Bishop Peter Selby, Bishop of Worcester, in his book, “Grace and Mortgage,” ISBN 0-232-52170-0, page 116 who recognized the absolute importance of John “The Engineer” Turmel’s brilliant research when he wrote: "As Galbraith remarks, higher interest rates, it is hoped, will curb inflation. These comments of Galbraith illustrate why, although the raising of interest rates is the weapon against inflation chosen by those who profit by it, it is also clear that as a method it cannot finally work. John Turmel, a Canadian civil engineer and campaigner against usury, has in two long articles brought algebra, plumbing and poetry to bear on the task."
And, John “The Engineer” Turmel wrote these words on the cover of the booklet “Affidavit & Balled of the Banking Systems Engineer” - a kiloverse of narrative poetry which he published in 1991: “There is something seriously wrong with the engineering design of the money system. This Affidavit provides a detailed mathematical analysis of what is wrong and what can be done to correct it. It explains alternate historical money systems which could be of use today. It contains the reason behind Christ’s mission and why he assuaulted the money-lenders in the temple.”
This summary document is a “kiloverse of narrative poetry” that focuses on money, banking and related matters. It stands as a brilliant exposé, rebuke and a high hurdle to the greedy creditors (global bankers) who continue to oppress the subservient debtors who are economically enslaved for generation after generation simply because they are victims of the killer machine - the design flaw of usury on our orthodox system of debt money.
It is surely, a sign of these chaotic, economic times as we progress into this 21st Century, that so many debtors no longer know the true definition of “usury.” Nor are they fully aware of the devastating effects - locally and globally - of the exacting of usury on debtors by the creditors. All people who dwell on planet earth are being harmed and no one is freed from usury, until all of us are freed from usury.
The one thing that more and more people are awakening to is that our so-called Christian churches are hypocritical. How can Christian churches proclaim to follow the words of the Bible and yet refuse to address the immoral and evil aspects of usury?
One only has to read the booklet “The Failure of Christian Leadership,” which was authored by Lloyd and Byron Dale and Gregory K. Soderberg in 1998 wherein is it written: “Americans are concerned about the financial problems of their country, their national debt, social security, health care, credit card debt, taxes, bankruptcies, layoffs, downsizing, the growing difficulty making ends meet, increasing crime and immortality. America is struggling in a cesspool of debt. Do we ever ask why? Do we search for an answer? There is a very precise and specific cause of most of our economic turmoil. National, Christian or political leaders never mention it. Why? Don’t they know?” ....(snip) ... “The ‘money monster’ and root of our economic problem is the usurious system of money creation through credit at ‘interest.’ ... (snip)
John “The Engineer” Turmel has penned the immortal words and diagrams that ultimately prove that “interest” or “usury” is the direct cause of inflation. When his words and diagrams are honoured for their integrity and merit, and implemented locally and globally, the institution of economic slavery - usury - will be headed forever to the road of extinction.
John “The Engineer” Turmel makes it clear that usury-based, debt money is a moral abomination and an ugly blot upon any economic system. John “The Engineer” Turmel has not only exposed the design flaw of usury for the evil and immoral design flaw that it is, but also he promotes a usuryfree time currency as the optimal solution that will aid immensely in ushering the forthcoming new age of usuryfree living.
John “The Engineer” Turmel explains that a universal, usuryfree time currency will guarantee everyone living on planet earth a usuryfree, credit line. Therefore, there will be peace, prosperity, abundance and true financial freedom for everyone.
As an engineer who takes his oath seriously, John “The Engineer” Turmel seeks to rally all debtors around the principles of usuryfree living. His many tumultuous contests to be an elected politician were embarked upon not necessarily to win (though he is a professional gambler who bets on long shots) but to re-educate voters who are ready and willing to listen and learn what formal education negelcts to teach.
To nuture and expand John “The Engineer” Turmel’s research and teachings, the UsuryFree Network champions “re-education beyond the walls of formal education” for youth and adults alike.
The UsuryFree Network envisions a University of UsuryFree Living, as a future institution that will keep alive the “re-kindled flame” of usuryfree living and re-educate men/women and children to become active usuryfree creatives.
UsuryFree Creatives understand that re-education is critical since formal education is miserably failing our youth as modern society declines and self-destructs. The UsuryFree Network sees decentralized units of local, re-educational facilities as the optimal way of re-birthing the concept of usuryfree living.
So. in this year of 2009, when our orthodox financial system of usury-based economics continues to slide on the slippery slope from recession to depression, can we doubt that John “The Engineer” Turmel’s exposé about the design flaw of usury is right?
For his amazing insight and brilliance, let us re-state a phrase of accolades that was first used by President Lincoln when he honoured Thomas Jefferson: “All Honour To John ‘The Engineer’ Turmel”. And let’s nominate him to receive the honoured “Winged Lion Award” when we celebrate the Fifth Annual UsuryFree Day on November 13th, 2009.
